Mark Oatey, Well Service and Integrity Manager, Harbour Energy steps up to Senior Chair and Bronson Larkins, Managing Director, Wellvene, takes on the role of Junior Chair.

Mark has been in the position of Junior Chair since 2020 and Bronson has previously served as Junior Chair for the SPE ICoTA European Well Intervention Conference. Both have been on the committee for several years and we are excited to see their progress and the positive changes that they will make for the association.

Mark said:

“Obviously I’m delighted to take the Chair role on and hope to keep adding value to what ICoTA Europe does. The main aim this year is to make ICoTA more sustainable, more diverse and for the association to grow. To do this, we will be adding structure to what we do and will be encouraging more people to contribute. We want to continue to provide fantastic in-person networking opportunities like the European Well Intervention Conference, Stavanger Seminar, Lunch & Learns, Golf Challenge and the Annual Dinner. We also want to effectively share technical content, attract, develop and educate new people into the workforce and promote this particular part of the industry. So…lots to do – but plenty of enthusiasm from our committee members, industry peers and supporters to help with that.”

Bronson commented:

“I’m delighted to have been asked by Mark to take on the role of Junior Chair for 2022/23 as it comes at a very exciting and busy time within our industry and ICoTA Europe. We have recently implemented a new structure within the ICoTA Europe committee that will ensure we maintain what we do as an organisation, whilst allowing us the time and focus to deliver on our continuous improvement plan. This plan includes sustainability for the organisation, more focus on DE&I, supporting the deliverables of the YP committee, and ultimately growing our presence across Europe. Doing so will ensure we continue to deliver a best-in-class Conference, Stavanger Seminar, Lunch & Learns and other Social / Networking events, as it’s through these events that we can share new well intervention technologies, lessons learned, training requirements, best practices etc. In addition to this, I have set myself a personal goal to further integrate Denmark, Holland, and Norway to ICoTA Europe events and work alongside the existing Norway committee members to implement more of the above within their region. Busy and exciting times ahead for our industry and ICoTA Europe.”
