Welcome to the ICoTA Europe Chapter

New Senior Chair and Junior Chair for 2023/24

The 2023/24 Senior and Junior Chairs are announced.

20230616 I Co TA Dinner 046

Bronson Larkins, Managing Director, Wellvene steps up to Senior Chair and Richard Innes, Well Services and Completion Manager, TotalEnergies takes on the role of Junior Chair.

Bronson served as Junior Chair last year and has previously served as Junior Chair for the SPE ICoTA European Well Intervention Conference. Both have been on the committee for several years and we are excited to see their progress and the positive changes that they will make for the association.

Bronson said:

"I'm thrilled to assume the role of Chair for such a well-respected organisation within our industry. Our mission at ICoTA Europe this year is to expand upon the progress we've made with our sub-committees over the past year, ultimately ensuring the fulfillment of our objectives. These objectives revolve around consistently delivering top-tier conferences, seminars, dinners, events for young professionals, golf events, and technical lunch and learns, all tailored to professionals specialising in well intervention across Europe. These invaluable in-person networking opportunities will allow us to uphold our commitment to sharing groundbreaking well intervention technologies, best practices, training, and insights for both Operators and Service Companies.

This year, we’ll also increase our focus towards Europe. Following the recent and very successful Stavanger Well Intervention Seminar, the demand for additional ICoTA events in this region remains strong. Consequently, we're excited to expand our UK efforts into Norway, enabling us to connect more European countries like Denmark and Holland with ICoTA Europe. While there's a substantial amount of work ahead, I have full confidence in our exceptional Committee and new Sub-Committees, composed of industry peers from Operators, Service Companies, and North Sea Regulators. With their dedication, I am confident that we will achieve our goals and continue to build upon the remarkable accomplishments of our organisation over the past years."

Richard commented:

"Thanks to Bronson for asking me to be Junior Chair for 2023/24, a role that I am delighted to take on. I am looking forward to working with the new look board and supporting the Chair’s focus areas of delivering top class events for well intervention professionals and increasing the focus on other areas in Europe. Last year ICoTA Europe delivered on a lot of the vision set out by outgoing Chair Mark Oatey, so the bar has been set high! The interest from industry in ICoTA Europe is really strong, as evidenced at the fantastic annual dinner in June and by the strength and endeavour of the committee and sub-committees. For sure we have work to do in building an even stronger base to ensure ICoTA Europe is integrated, sustainable and relevant for the long term, but the energy and commitment is most certainly there. We are also “all ears” in terms of how to achieve this, so now you know who we are, feel free to reach out to Bronson, myself and indeed the wider committees and ICoTA Europe community"
